Many now suffer with what are preventable diseases. . .did you understand that 46 percent of all dogs die of influenza, 40% are overweight and scores suffer everyday from allergies, ear infections, skin ailments, dental problems and other disorders…

When you understand the awful reality about the poisonous ingredients in some commercial pet foods it will shock and sicken you and, once you know the reality of the health benefits of feeding a dog a homemade diet, then you’ll want to generate an immediate shift. If you quit feeding only commercial dog foods for your own dog on a daily basis, gradually introduce fresh meats and veggies and then stop commercial dog foods altogether, you’re save her or him from needless suffering and save a mountain of vet bills, too.

Now, here are a few of the realities about some commercial dog foods and also some of the advantages of feeding a dog a healthy homemade diet…

1. Truth: Do you know that some commercial dog food is really dog “junk” food? Broadly speaking, a puppy’s genetic makeup and nutritional requirements looks like that of people. If we’re damaging our own health by eating “junk food”, what’s happening to our puppies when we feed them the identical, “junk” pet food?

2. Whatever else you may have heard, the same healthy, nutritious foods we consume are a terrific selection for dogs. However, there are particular differences between dog and human nutritional requirements so you will need to learn what they are if you would like to feed your pet a healthy diet. Dog Bone Clip Art Silhouette

3. Truth: Do you understand that if your vet sells pet food it also might not be such a fantastic choice? The same as our own medical doctors, veterinarians are not taught too much about nutrition in school. Most of what they understand will be taught to them from the agents of the pet food firms such as, on staff firm vets, sales representatives (do you think maybe they market their own products?) Or other through various studies, articles, and conventions. It’s not very possible that your vet knows the distinction between good and bad food if they have not studied about it or tried raw or homemade diets themselves.

Some vets even profit from purchasing a certain brand of dog food which may very well bias them against other manufacturers or alternative forms of feeding a puppy, such as home cooked pet food.

4. Reality: Are you aware some processed commercial pet foods can actually be hazardous to your pet’s health and can cause numerous medical problems? It is valid for dog food companies to contain “4D Meat” (“Dead, Dying,Diseased and Disabled” ranch or farm animals).

All of it makes a recipe of their worst potential mixture of ingredients we can ever feed into our dogs. And yet, millions of us do so, kindly! Remember. . .the cheaper the meals. . .the more affordable the ingredients. . .the worse the nutrition. . .the more detrimental, even fatal it an be! Make sure you know what is in the food, whenever you’re feeding a dog! Read about commercial dog food in depth in my future articles. Dog Bone Clip Art Silhouette

Please note: not “all” commercial dog foods are made from poor quality ingredients and inexpensive byproducts. Dog food manufacturers and the components they use differ greatly. My aim in these posts is to provide you with as much information possible, which means that you may make your own “informed” decisions on what is or is not good food for your puppy. I will get into much greater detail about different “quality” dog food manufacturers, ingredients and also how to read dog food labels in future articles. . .so come back frequently.

5. Truth: Do you know it’s a mistake to believe kibble cleans teeth? This myth was circulated some time ago by a research that implied kibble “may” be better than canned pet foods (not “is” better) for cleaning teeth. What should it be saying to people that almost every dog over age three that has dental disease eats kibble! Not hard to figure out that one!

6. There are important differences: meals meeting just the “assumed” requirements for the health of an average dog can be advertised as “Complete and Balanced”. When these foods are included in feeding trials, they are often only tested for things like lead and others are tested only on a small number of dogs for a very short time.

It’s certain that sufficient nutrients, essential for our pet’s wellbeing, won’t be contained in these goods. It certainly is far better than “not” complete and balanced at all, but merely “optimal” levels of balanced nutrition are exactly what we should be trying to find. We’ll be providing you with details of what best balanced nutrition is in a later article.

On occasion a quick glance at the tag can inform you whether the pet food is made of quality ingredients or not, in others it requires more knowledge about each of the ingredients to have the ability to tell whether that food is better. Obviously every producer is going to say that they’re using only the very best ingredients. But, our inherent right to freedom of speech does not need these statements to be truthful.

We’ll write more about this later…

7. Reality: Do you know that if you’re feeding a dog exactly the same thing every day you are restricting it has access to good nutrition? Dog, like us, want a variety of food. Would you imagine eating ground corn husks, rancid fat and just chicken wing skin and bones (no Meat) with a few affordable vitamins and minerals thrown in, each and every day for your whole life?. Dog Bone Clip Art Silhouette

It is true that some dogs can have a first sensitivity when introduced to particular foods that are new. Thus, feeding a dog many different foods can result in stomach issues, but it is only because they’ve been lacking balanced nutrition in their diet. As soon as they’re given a well balanced diet, their digestive tract gets revived. They can then eat an assortment of foods at each meal with no problem, just as we do.

Be certain that you introduce various foods in small amounts so that your pet’s stomach has time to adapt to the changes.

8. Reality: Are you aware that dry dog food is not better than canned dog food? Think about it. . Now consider the amount of preservatives dry foods desire after they’re opened, in order to remain “new” indefinitely in the first bag, or whatever container you use for storage, or whenever they have left out all day so your pet can self-feed. Dry foods begin cooked out and then are exposed to a high amount of warmth, which destroys nutrients. . .canned foods are canned refreshing and so, keep more nutrients (even though they’re not entirely balanced).

. .next would be dried or frozen and then freeze dried foods, available at better pet shops.

9. Reality: Do you know that a number of the ingredients used to create commercial dog food and certain common, everyday foods may be poisonous to dogs , even kill them! Wheat-based treats can cause allergies.

To learn more about what is really in commercial dog food along with the other things that are toxic to dogs, return often and read our future articles where we will give you detailed advice.

10. Reality: Do you understand that corn can kill dogs? Most dry dog food is loaded with this cheap filler and it is not the exact same corn we consume. . .it’s the inexpensive remnants that is fed to cattle. . .even corn meal dust, swept up from the mill floor, is allowed to be used in dog food! Additionally, corn is very high in carbs and therefore, quite fattening. . .so, is it any wonder lots of puppies are overweight and suffer from diabetes. Dog Bone Clip Art Silhouette

So, you now know some of the horrible realities about commercial pet foods. As soon as you opt to boost your dog’s diet and stop feeding that “junk” food, it’s possible to greatly improve their health and endurance. . .plus, you will save yourself a lot of money!

All it requires is a little bit of knowledge and the desire to provide your pet with the vitality and long life it deserves. We will do our very best to provide the knowledge. . .you just must supply the desire.
